Oil Prices Soar to $97 a Barrel

Traders work in the crude oil futures pit at the New York Mercantile Exchange on today. Futures jumped to a new record above $97 a barrel after bombings in Afghanistan and an attack on a Yemeni oil pipeline.

Oil futures jumped to a new record above $97 a barrel today after bombings in Afghanistan and an attack on a Yemeni oil pipeline compounded the supply concerns that have driven crude prices higher in recent weeks.

COMMENT: My oil bill is going to put a hurt on me. Last winter along I paid over $2k.
